Larry Kolb and Dick Otke Construction partnered to develop Wildwood Crossings Shopping Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. The site contained 147,000 square feet of mixed retail, 5 outparcels and provided a site location of a 22- acre pad site for Lowe’s across the street from center.
This project was a unique endeavor from the beginning. The 17-acre tract for Wildwood Crossings included a rock bluff which had to be removed before construction could begin. Lowe’s 22-acre site was a deep ravine across the street which needed to be filled and elevated to a usable level. Upon using 240 tons of explosives, 957 tons of rock were transported to fill the Lowe’s site ravine. Both projects were successfully completed.
National tenants for Wildwood Crossings included Barnes & Noble, Pier 1 Imports, Old Navy, TJ Maxx, MC Sports, Shoe Carnival, Petco, and Goody’s Family Clothing. The outparcels consist of Chili’s Bar & Grill, Longhorn Steakhouse, Cingular Wireless, Cold Stone Creamery, Eagle Stop Convenience Store and Premier Bank.
Dick Otke Construction handled all of the construction of the project and Kolb Properties coordinated the leasing and the management of the project.
